1'73 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF,EQTTALIZATION.AND REVIEW <br />APRIL 21, 1977 <br />The 1977 Ox'ange County Board of Equalization and Review convened at <br />7:30 p.m., April 21, 1977, in the Commissioners' Room of the Courthouse <br />in Hillsborough. Present were Chairman Richard Whitted, Commissioners <br />Norman Gustaveson, Jan Pinney, and Donald Willhoit. <br />Absent was. Commissioner Norman Walker. <br />- The Board heard appeals of 1977 real property tax valuation by the <br />following persons for the indicated properties: <br />Township Tax Map Block Parcel <br />~. <br />Benjamin F. Swalin Chapel Hill 116 - 12 <br />Emery B. Aenny, Jr. for 17 <br />Mary Alice Danziger Chapel Hill 32 D <br />James W. Lester Chapel Hill 27 D 8 <br />The Board also heard the appeal of Deborah McNeil of Chapel Hill <br />Township from the evaluation of her automobile for 1976 and by appropriate <br />order reduced this valuation from $11,450 to $5,350. The Board considered <br />... appeals by Thomas G. Johnson of the valuation of his two parcels in <br />5trayhorn Hills Subdivision (Eno Township, Tax Map 27A, Block C Parcel <br />16, 17) and by Calbar Investment Company (R. N. Barringer, President) of <br />the valuation of its two lots in Clark Hills Subdivision (Chapel Hill <br />Township, Tax Map 42, Block D, Parcel 1 and Tax Map 42, Block A, Parcel <br />16) although Mr. Johnson and Mr. Barringer were not present. <br />The Board on its own motion considered the valuation of properties <br />of William T. Tolliver (Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 86, Block A, Parcel <br />5) and Argusta Edwards (Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 86, Block A, Parcel <br />6) . <br />- The Board adopted appropriate order confirming the valuation of <br />$54,800 appealed by James W. Lester; reducing the valuation appealed by <br />Thomas G. Johnson from $6,000 (both parcels) to $3,200 (combined parcels); <br />increasing the valuation appealed by Calbar Investment Company (Chapel <br />Hill Township, Tax Map 42, Block A, Parcel 16) from $6,500 to $7,300; <br />reducing the valuation appealed by Calbar Investment Company (Chapel Hill <br />Township, Tax Map 42, Block D, Parcel 1) from $3,900 to $3,100; reducing <br />the valuation of the property of William P. Tolliver from $40,600 to <br />$14,400; reducing the valuation of the property of Argusta Edwards from <br />$42,600 to $18,500. <br />The Board deferred resolution of the appeals by Benjamin F.
