~.~4 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 6, 1977 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on <br />Wednesday, April 6, 1977, at 7:30 p.m., in the Commissioners' Room of <br />the Courthouse in Hillsborough. <br />Present were Chairman Richard Whitted, Commissioners Norman <br />Gustaveson, Jan Pinney, Norman Walker and Donald Willheit. <br />Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Manager, and Agatha <br />Johnson, Clerk. <br />The County Manager informed the Board that petitions from the <br />Caldwell Fire District had been received by his office which requested <br />the Board of Commissioners to call a referendum in the district for the <br />purpose of providing fire protection in that area. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted to support the petitions far fire <br />protections in the Little River Township. <br />(Fox Capy of Resolution to call for a referendum see page 161 of <br />this book.) <br />The meeting was then adjourned. <br />~ /~ <br />4 ~~'i~ <br />ichax~d E. Whitted, Chairman <br />Agatha Johnson, Clerk <br />ORNAGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 19, 1977 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br />Tuesday, April 19, 1977, at 7:30 p.m., in the Commissioners' Room of the <br />Courthouse in Hillsborough. <br />Members present were Chairman Richard Whitted, Commissioners Norman <br />Gustaveson, Jan Pinney, Norman Walker and Donald Willhoit. <br />Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Manager, Jeffrey Gledhill, <br />County Attorney, and Agatha Johnson, Clerk. <br />The Chairman referred to Item 1 on the Agenda: Persons not on this <br />agenda having business to transact with the Board of Commissioner should <br />make their presence known. <br />Mrs. Charles King of the Colonial Hills Subdivision stated that she <br />was present to bring to the Board's attention the petitions which were <br />filed with the County Manager last November for the paving of roads in <br />the Colonial Hills Subdivision under the owner participation program. <br />The. Chairman informed Mrs. King that the petitions which were pre- <br />sented last November would be reviewed and if the Board decided to accept <br />this area of road for paving under the participation program, a formal <br />petition would be prepared by the County Attorney. The Board of Commis- <br />sioners will not know what roads will be paved during the next fiscal <br />year until the 1977-7$ budget is completed. <br />The Chairman informed Mrs. King that the Board would ba in contact <br />regarding the petitions. <br />Mrs. Stewart Barbour stated that she was present to bring two re- <br />wuests to the Board. (1) Would the County Commissioners be willing to <br />
