~~2 <br />He stated that the subcommittee has worked for over nine months on <br />the Subdivision Ordinance, and the County Attorney has been over the <br />Ordinance, word for word. Many people in Bingham Township have accused <br />the Board of dragging their feet. The new Subdivision Ordinance is an <br />improvement over the old ordinance. <br />Further discussion ensued. Commissioner Walker moved that the Board <br />honor the request made for an extension of a minimum of 90 days for the <br />adoption of the Subdivision Ordinance, for the purpose of becoming more <br />familiar with the Ordinance, to have more input, to give the Planning <br />Board time to become more familiar with the Ordinance. He suggested <br />further that the Advisory Board be in working order, so that they can <br />have input. Commissioner Pinney seconded the motion. - <br />Commissioner Gustaveson stated that he would vote against the motion. _ <br />He suggested that the Board not act at all until the Planning Board had <br />made a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners, and that this Board <br />assure the farmers that the effective date of the Ordinance will be delayed <br />30 days from tha day it is adopted. In the meantime, he suggested that the <br />work of the Advisory Council continue. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved that this item be tabled until the next <br />meeting. At the next meeting, Mr. Willhoit stated, that he intended to <br />to ask the Board to recommend to the Planning Department a review of all <br />property transfers for the last six months, to determine what townships <br />have mayor activity. He stated that he would suggest that the Planning <br />Director prepare a timetable and schedule for the establishing of the <br />Advisory Boards and township meetings. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson seconded Mr. Willhoit's motion to table. <br />The Chairman called for the vote on the amendment. Voting aye were <br />Commissioners Willhoit and Gustaveson. Boting nay were Commissioners <br />Pinney, Whitted and Walker. The Chairman declared the motion failed. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson asked if the intention of the original <br />moton was to set up Advisory Councils in all of the townships in this <br />90 day period? <br />Mx. Walker stated "whatever the Planning Board decides, however, <br />I would like to see this done." <br />Mr. Gustaveson stated that this would mean a major revision of the <br />work plan. <br />Commissioner Willhoit asked that the motion be amended to not in- <br />clude Chapel Hill and Eno Townships. <br />Commissioner Walker stated that he would not accept this amendment. <br />The Chairman called for the vote on the motion of Commissioner <br />Walker. Votine aye were Commissioners Pinney,Whitted, Walker and <br />Willhoit. voting nay was Commissioner Gustaveson. The motion was <br />declared passed. <br />The Board agreed to reschedule Item 2-A: A Public Hearing to receive <br />citizen's input prior to developing plans for the Use of Revenue Sharing <br />Funds during the 1977-78 fiscal year. This publzi_c hearing was resche- <br />duled for the third Tuesday night in Apnil at 7:30 p.m. <br />Item 2-B: The Mayor of Hillsborough will ask the Board to provide <br />financial aid to assist the Town in its efforts to extend sewer service <br />in the Mountain View area. <br />This item will be rescheduled. <br />The Chairman referred to Ttem 2: Minutes of the March 7th meeting <br />are submitted for the Board's approval. <br />Corrections of the March 7th minutes were pointed out to the Clerk, <br />and upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted to approve the March 7th minutes. <br />
