Amended: Section XX - Permits and Standards for Animal Collection. <br />3/1/88 <br />A. A permit for the collecting of dogs and cats for sale shall <br />be required before any individual may engage in any action <br />in Orange County in furtherance of any action involving or <br />relating to the collection or procurement of dogs and cats <br />for sale or disposal. A permit allowing such actions will <br />be issued only upon payment of a ~ privilege tam set by ~,, ~eietea: fee <br />the County Commissioners and demonstration by the applicant <br />that the following requirements shall be met: <br />1. Permit Application: <br />a. An application for a collection permit shall be <br />made by each and every individual involved in the <br />collecting of dogs and/or cats in Orange County <br />for the purpose of sale or other disposal. Any <br />such application for the above mentioned purpose <br />shall have to be made to the Animal Control <br />Director on a form prescribed by the Animal <br />Control Director. <br />b. An investigation may then be conducted by the <br />Animal Control Director which may include <br />inspection of the premises where the animals are <br />to be kept and any vehicles in which animals are <br />to be transported. <br />c. Upon the determination by the Animal Control <br />Director or person duly authorized by the Animal <br />Control Director that the requirements of these <br />regulations have been met and are capable of <br />continuing to be met during the duration of <br />the permit, a permit for no more than one (1) year <br />shall be issued, upon payment of applicable Ue~etea: fees <br />privilege taxes, to the individual applicant only <br />for the specific individual applicant, premises, <br />and vehicles listed on the application. <br />d. Application for a permit renewal is the <br />responsibility of the permit holder and shall be <br />made no later than thirty (30) days prior to the <br />expiration of the current permit. Failure to <br />reapply prior to the 30-day limit may result in a <br />civil penalty ~ ~ , - Ue~etea: fee <br />21 <br />
