The Board was specifically interested
in a situation that involved clear cutting of trees in a stream buffer in violation of Neuse River Basin water
quality restrictions. The Board asked for a followup report on enforcement actions taken by the State of
North Carolina against the logger who committed these violations.
Ranger Bowling will provide a brief update on enforcement actions to this point and any remediation
requirements that have been placed on the logger in question.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the report as information.
