Bicycle Transportation Plan Component <br />The proposal is to amend SECTION 2.6 OTHER SIGNIFICANT TRANSPORTATION <br />ELEMENTS of the Land Use Element, Orange County Comprehensive Plan to include the <br />ORANGE COUNTY BICYCLE TRANSPORTATION PLAN. If adopted, the Bicycle Plan will <br />be included in the Durham - Chapel Hill - Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization's <br />update of the DCHC Regional Bicycle Plan. In order to be eligible for Federal transportation <br />funds, bicycle projects must be included in the MPO Regional Plan. <br />Changes may be made in the advertised proposals which reflect debate, objections and <br />discussion at the hearing. <br />Questions regarding the proposals may be directed to the Orange County Planning Department <br />located in the Planning and Agricultural Center, 306F Revere Road, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
