39 <br />Mr. Edwards suggested that the plat go back to the Planning Board <br />and then be resubmitted to the Board for reapproval. <br />Commissioner Pinney withdrew his motion. <br />Commissioner Pinney moved that .the plat be approved as a prelimin- <br />ary plat without a maintenance agreement. Commissioner Walker seconded <br />the motion. Further discussion ensued. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson suggested that an agreement be worked out <br />with the property owners whereby everyone who bought land on the road <br />would buy into a maintenance agreement for their share of the upkeep <br />of the road. He added that this is pointed out in the Subdivision <br />Ordinance. <br />Gommissioner Willhoit stated that he would vote against Mr. Pinney's <br />motion because he fel.~ the Planning Board should work on this matter to <br />seek another alternative to the problem. Commissioner Willhoit called <br />for the question. <br />Further discussion ensued. Commissioner Gustaveson requested that <br />the Planning Board and Staff work on some type of long range solution to <br />this type of problem. Commissioner Walker called for the question. <br />The Chairman called for the vote. Voting aye on the motion to <br />approve the plat were Commissioners Whitted, Walker and Pinney. Voting <br />nay were Commissioner Gustaveson and Willhoit. The motion was declared <br />passed. <br />The next item for discussion was Item 11: The Manager recommends <br />adoption of a temporary schedule of Plumbing Inspection Fees. <br />The Agenda attachment stated that active plumbing inspection com- <br />menced in the unincorporated areas of the County recently. T1~.-Planning <br />Department has developed this temporary schedule of ins ion fees <br />using inspection charges made by nearby governmental units as a model. <br />The Manager recommends the Board of Commissioners approve this fee <br />schedule for a six month period and that during budget review this spring, <br />- again consider an inspection fee schedule in light of the brief exper- <br />ience we will have had with this one. <br />Commissioner Pinney presented questions concerning the proposed <br />fee schedule. Discussion ensued concerning the charge of $10.00 fee <br />for the plumbing inspection of a mobile home. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved to accept the Manager's recommenda- <br />tion for.the fee schedule with the understanding .that the fees will be <br />reviewed again in the Spring. Commissioner Willhoit seconded the <br />motion. <br />It was pointe~.d cut that in time, all inspections, plumbing, <br />electrical, and building could possibly be done at the same time. <br />The Chairman called for the vote and all members of the Bcard <br />voted aye. These assessments <br />should be confirmed by the Board of Commissioners. <br />Archie Kelly from the Tax Department, presented to the Board a <br />list of names of persons who have not listed their personal property. <br />He stated that some of these people were present to appeal their assess- <br />ment. The Board agreed to hear the appeals at this time. <br />
