The Board may also wish to <br />refer the draft ordinance to the Home Council, and the Orange County Community Housing Corporation. <br />ANALYSIS <br />See attached materials, including Alderman Zaffron's inclusionary Housing Proposal (_ and <br />Mr. Brough's memorandum ( ). Mr. Brough's memo includes a draft ordinance that. would <br />implement Alderman Laffron's proposal. <br />RECOMMENDATTON <br />The Administration recommends that the Board of Aldermen considers this issue and determines whether <br />it wishes to set a public hearing on "An Ordinance Amending the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance to <br />Require that at Least Twenty Percent of the Single Family Dwelling Units within any Residential <br />Subdivision Approved Under a Special or Conditional Use Permit be 1,100 Square Feet or Less in Size." <br />Should the Hoard decide to proceed and set a public hearing on this text amendment, the Administration <br />recommends that the hearing be set for April 13, 1999 and that the ordinance be referred to advisory <br />boards and Orange County for review. <br />
