Should the Board of Aldermen decide <br />to set a public hearing; to receive public comment on this ordinance, a recommended date is April 13, <br />1999. <br />SUMMARY <br />The 1998 Action Agenda included an Affordable Housing Goal. Four projects were listed as the means of <br />achieving this goal. <br />On August 25, 1998, the Board discussed a discussion paper on inclusionary zoning that had been <br />prepared by Alderman Alex Zaffron. This paper included a proposal for a text amendment to require that <br />20 percent of all new residential dwellings units be limited in size to 1,100 square feet or less. <br />The Board discussed the memo and directed Town Attorney, Mike Brough, to draft an ordinance as <br />proposed by A'ldernlan Zaffron. <br />Mr. though prepared a draft ordinance and submitted it to the Board of Aldermen on February 2, 1999. <br />
