Orange County Board of County Commissioners <br />Z -04 -98 Agenda Abstract <br />Orange County Planning Department Findings of Fact (continued) <br />REQUIRED FINDINGS <br />20.3.2e) Manner in which <br />proposed amendment will carry <br />out purpose and intent of adopted <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />PLANNING STAFF FINDING: NO <br />PLANNING BOARD FINDING: NO <br />RECOMMENDATION: Administration Recommendation <br />0 <br />EVIDENCE SUBMITTED TO SUPPORT <br />FINDINGS <br />The intent of the adopted <br />Comprehensive Plan is to create an <br />industrial park setting at this location <br />to accommodate a full range of light <br />industrial, distribution, retail, office <br />and service uses. <br />The Administration recommends denial of the application to rezone 19.96 <br />acres in the 1 -85 /Buckhorn Road Economic Development District to <br />Secondary Development per the Planning Board's recommendation to deny <br />the request based on the following: 1) uses allowed in Secondary <br />Development Areas (that are not allowed in Primary Development Areas) <br />would decrease the desirability for the intended Primary Economic <br />Development uses supported by the Land Use Element of the Orange <br />County Comprehensive Plan, 2) The Land Use Plan, as amended August, <br />1996, provides for only Primary Development Areas within the Buckhorn <br />Road Economic Development District. <br />
