- ~ <br />~.. <br />..- <br />referendum held in the County of Orange on Novo*nber 2, 197G <br />upon the question of issuing $6,000,000 County Schaal Bands <br />of said Co?~nty, does hereby declare and certify the result <br />of said referendum to be the result which is set Earth in the <br />following statement of the result of said referendum, whirl; <br />statement has.been prepared by said Board of Commissioners: <br />STATEbIENT OF THE RESULT <br />of the <br />SPECIAL BOND REFERENDUP4 <br />held in the <br />COUN'T'Y OF ORANGN, NORTH CAROLIIdA <br />on November 2,.1476 <br />At a special bond referendum bald in the County of Ora?zge <br />an November 2, 1476, '~-~,~:s~voters vrere registered and qualified <br />to vote. <br />At said referendum 1~+73~rotes were cast for the order <br />adopted on August 18, 1976, authorizing the County of Orange, <br />North Carolina, to contract a debt, in addition to any and <br />all other debt vrhich said County may not now ar hereafter have <br />power of authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to <br />issue County School Bonds in an aggregate principal amount not <br />exceeding $6,000,D00 for the purpose of providing funds, Saith <br />any other available funds, for erecting additional school buald- <br />ings and other school plant facilities, remodeling, enlarging <br />and reconstructing existing school buildings and other school <br />plant facilities, and acquiring necessary land and equipment <br />therefor, in order to provide additional school facilities in <br />sa~.d County to maintain the nine monthsT school term as required <br />by Section 2 of Article IX of the Constitution, and authorizing <br />the levy of taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the principal <br />7,0-3~ <br />of and the interest on said bonds, and votes were cast <br />against said order, and a majority of the qualified voters of <br />_2 _. <br />
