Morris Tolson <br />SECRETARY <br />This office has completed its follow up review of the subject's proposed preliminary plans for compliancc with <br />current Department of '1 n:nusportation minimum subdivistun construction standards. On 3 August 1998, I sent you a <br />letter about the subject Site and the developer sent us a response dated 24 August 1998. In order to save time I will <br />address the previous correspondence in the same order as they appear in both letters. <br />A <br />Lil <br />1 The revised plans with the proposed tutnlanes are accepectable. <br />4. As per the developer's letter 8/24/98, we agree and this item is resolved: <br />6. The 10' x 70' site triangles are still required. NCDOT did agree to reduce the flare (see attachment). <br />7. Permits are still required and needed before constructions. The terrain for the site will be Level; however, NCDOT w10 give consideration to rolling <br />classification when warranted. At this time the developer has not submitted all roadway <br />inrurznation and we cannot review this item completely. <br />4. The developer has not addressed their position on standaid curb and gutter or valley ew•b. <br />NCDOT has requested standard 2' -6" cork,, however, the plans do not address-which type they are <br />proposing. In additioni Sheet C -8 needs the typical revised to show stone under the curb. <br />5. We agree with the plans except for the driveway at the two proposed parking lots. <br />The plans show the parking lot drives as a street type entrance and they should be curb cuts. <br />6. NCDOT agreed with the developers proposed striping as shows. on Sheet C -8 ofthe revised plans. <br />7. The developer has agreed and the revised plants reflect this agreement. <br />
