2.0 Introduction <br />The proposed Lawrence Road subdivision development is to be located on a 87.3-acre <br />site in the southeast quadrant of the intersection of Lawrence Road and US 70 Business <br />east of Hillsborough, North Carolina, as shown in Figure 1. The proposed development <br />consists of 249 lots for single family 3-bedroom homes, plus recreation and open space <br />to serve the development. As currently envisioned, the proposed development will be <br />completed (built-out) in 2003. <br />Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. was retained to determine the potential external traffic <br />impacts of this development and to identify roadway improvements that may be required <br />to accommodate these impacts.
