This grade has a hiring range of $38,330 - $46,588. Background: At the December 1, 1998 Board of Commissioners meeting, the Board approved the creation of the new Environment and Resource Conservation Department (ERCD). It began operation on January 4. As part of the proposal to create the ERCD department, two new positions were planned: an administrative assistant and a land resource conservation manager position. At the January 19, 1999 Board of Commissioners meeting, the Board approved the Administrative Assistant position. This abstract addresses the Land Resources Conservation Manager position. Using a combination of scientific training and land acquisition experience, this position will take the lead in accomplishing the goals of the County's resource acquisition program. This program is to be developed this spring and will involve working to acquire priority areas
