I <br />street. <br />2 <br />3 <br />2. The permit-issuing authority may allow on-street parking spaces along <br />4 <br />the front property line' (except where there are driveway cuts) to be <br />5 <br />counted toward the minimum number of parking spaces required for <br />6 <br />the use on that lot <br />7 <br />8 <br />3. On-street parking space shall be designed as either parallel to the curb <br />9 <br />on both sides `of the street or diagonal to the street on the storefront <br />10 <br />side with landscaped breaks serving the pedestrian alleyways. <br />11 <br />12 <br />4. Off —street parking may be located within 100 feet (measured along a <br />13 <br />publicly accessible route) from the -lot containing the use to which the <br />14 <br />parking is accessory, if the lot containing the parking is owned or <br />15 <br />leased to the owner of the principal use, or if the lot containing the <br />16 <br />parking is dedicated to parking for as long as the use to which it is <br />17 <br />accessory shall continue, and it is owned by an entity capable of <br />18 <br />assuring its maintenance as accessory parking. <br />19 <br />20 <br />f. All public sidewalks and walkways shall: <br />21 <br />22 <br />1. Be constructed of brick or concrete with brick borders in such a way <br />23 <br />that they do not impede accessibility. <br />24 <br />25 <br />1 Be no less than six feet in; and <br />26 <br />27 <br />3. Create a completely interconnected network of pedestrian walkways <br />28 <br />throughout the storefront use and townhouse use areas. <br />29 <br />30 <br />9. All new construction shall be of similar scale and massing to small-scale, <br />40 <br />historic buildings in downtown Carrboro. <br />41 <br />42 <br />i.
