Each year the State contracts with the Health Department to render specified services. The <br />attached contract outlines the terms in dollar amounts for each program activity as well as local <br />allocations and revenues which support these mandated services. <br />Financial Impact: The state consolidated contract provides $552,629 federal and state dollars <br />to the county to provide specific services. The contract is awarded on an annual basis and will <br />be included in the department's 1999 -2000 budget. This represents approximately 13% of the <br />overall health department budget. This does not include Medicaid revenue which is earned <br />separately for services provided. <br />Recommendation: <br />The Manager recommends that the Board approve the contract, subject to the endorsement of the <br />County Attorney and County Purchasing Director and authorize the Chair to sign the contracts <br />and assurances. <br />
