Attachment IV-A <br />18 <br />MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />ORANGE-CHATHAM TREATMENT ALTERNATIVES TO STREET CRIME <br />AND <br />FIRST STEP SANCTIONS CENTER <br />The .purpose of this memorandum of agreement is to outline the flow of referrals and reporting <br />procedures between the First Step Sanctions Center and the TASC Program. <br />A. First Step Sanctions Center agrees: <br />1. To provide both positive and negative results of all urinalysis done on TASC clients. <br />2. To inform the TASC case manager(TCM) as soon as possible of any missed appointments, <br />pending violations, arrests, and upcoming court appearances. <br />3. To agree to discuss with the TCM, if a client begins to fail in the program, to discuss <br />disposition and possible increase in sanctions. <br />4. To have the TASC referred client sign a release of information form to share <br />information with the TASC Program. <br />5. To provide reports to TASC of clients' progress in treatment. <br />6. Upon successful completion of the client in the First Step Sanction Center Program, <br />First Step will notify the TCM in writing within five(5) working days. <br />7. To confer with TASC to develop protocols, policies and procedures for the TASC <br />Program, and to meet to discuss any needed changes in the TASC Program on an as <br />needed basis. <br />B. Orange-Chatham Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime(TASC) agrees: <br />1. The TCM will be available to District and Superior Court in order to receive potential <br />TASC~referrals or to serve as a consultant for sentencing. <br />2. TASC will provide an eligibility criteria assessment for the defendant convicted to <br />Intermediate Sanctions. TASC will provide a diagnostic screening to eligible defendants <br />and will forward the recommendations, court judgement and other appropriate court <br />documentation to First Step Sanctions Center. <br />
