Durham County, Orange County and the City the 19th day of April, 1974, <br />as amended by the Amendatory Contract of 10 April 1975,.and 13 May 197x; <br />be and the same is hereby further amended in the following particulars <br />1'. Section 7 of the Amended Contract is amended by deleting <br />said section and substituting therefor, the following: <br />There is hereby created a Durham-Orange Manpower <br />Planning Council. Said Council shall consist <br />of twenty-four (24) members. To the extent <br />practical members of the multi-jurisdictional <br />community who are representative of the client <br />community and community based organizations, <br />employment services, education and training <br />agencies and institutions, business, labor, and <br />where appropriate, agriculture, shall be appointed <br />to said Council. The Board of Commissioners of <br />ORANGE COUNTY shall appoint eight (8) represent- <br />- atives to said Council, one of whom shall be the <br />Chairman of the Bcard of C:.unty Caxurt~iasioners r;: <br />ORANGE COUNTY or his designee. The Board of <br />Commissioners of DURI3AM COUNTY shall appoint eight <br />(8) representatives to said Council, one of whom <br />shall be the Chairman of the Board of County Com- <br />missioners of DURHAM COUNTY or his designee. The <br />City Council of the CITY OF DURHAM shall appoint <br />eight (8) representatives to the Council, one of <br />whom shall be the Mayor of the City of Durham or <br />_ t <br />his designee. The Chairman shall be elected by <br />a majority vote of the members of the Council. <br />Each respective governing body shall appoint all <br />replacements and fill all vacancies among the <br />representatives which they originally appointed. <br />Absence from three consecutive regular meetings <br />shall operate to vacate the seat of any member, <br />unless the absence is excused by the Advsory <br />Council for good cause shown. <br /> <br />-x_ <br />
