Carolina Association of <br />County .Commissioners encourage local governments to celebrate County Government Week in an <br />effort to educate,citizens about county government. <br />The attached Calendaz of Events (Attachment I) provides an overview of planned activities to be <br />held during this week. Since these activities will provide an increased awazeness of government <br />operations, it is recommended that Orange County proclaim the week of April 18 - 24, 1999 as <br />"County Government Week". A proclamation is provided as Attachment II. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATON(S): The Manager recommends that the Board adopts the proclamation and <br />endorses the planned activities. <br />
