6.55 Authority has requested Orange County advance $8,000. to assist the Authority in payment of its current obligations. This advance will be refunded when the Authority receives its temporary financing. Discussion ensued concerning the request and it was pointed out that the Orange Water-Sewer Authority as it currently exist had nvt been recognized by the Town of Carrbaro. Further discussion ensued. Commissioner Gustaveson moved that the County make an advance of -.. $8,000. to the Orange Water-Sewer Authority. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Whitted. Discussion ensued. Commissioner Pinney requested that an amend- ment be made to Commissioner Gustaveson's motion.. . Further discussion~ignsued. Commissioner Pinney moved to amend Commissioner Gustaveson's motion that Orange County advance $8,000. to the Orange Water-sewer Authority contingent upon the Town of Carrboro signing the agreement relative to the Orange Water-Sewer Authority. Commissioner Walker seconded Commissioner Pinney's amended motion. The Chairman called for the vote on the amended motion. Voting aye were Commissioner Garrett, Pinney and Walker. Voting nay were Commissioner Gustaveson and Whitted. The Chairman declared the motion passed and then called for a vote on Commissioner Gustaveson's original motion. All members of the Board voted aye and the motion was declared passed. ORANGE COUNTY 1976-1977 BUDGET ORDINANCE AMENDMENT "The 1976-1977 Budget Orainance of Orange Count as adopted on June 24, 1976, and subsequently amended, is hereby amended as follows: Change the appropriation for the following line items in the funds indicated: INCREASE FUND - ITEM (DECREASE) TO TOTAL General Water and Sewer Authority 8,000 8,000 Contingency (8,000) .159,571 Change the revenues and fund balances estimated to be available to meet the foregoing appropriation in the funds indicated. Adopted this the 12th day of July, 1976." The County Manager called the Board's attention to Agenda Attach- ment II: Resolution Setting Fees for Landfill use which has been adapted by the Board of Aldermen, Town of Chapel Hill. -- A RESOLUTIl7N SETTING FEE$ FOR LANDFILL USE "BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Chapel Hill that beginning July 1, 1976, the following fees will be in effect for use of the landfill operated by the Town of Chapel Hill: Regular garbage and trash $3/ton Construction and Demolition Materials $5/ton Stumps $5/ton Logs $5/ton Tires $5/ton Minimum charges for trash and garbage delivered by car $1.00 Any truck $2.00 Any trailer $2.00 This the 14th day of June, 1976."
