6.55 <br />Authority has requested Orange County advance $8,000. to assist the <br />Authority in payment of its current obligations. This advance will <br />be refunded when the Authority receives its temporary financing. <br />Discussion ensued concerning the request and it was pointed out <br />that the Orange Water-Sewer Authority as it currently exist had nvt <br />been recognized by the Town of Carrbaro. <br />Further discussion ensued. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved that the County make an advance of <br />-.. $8,000. to the Orange Water-Sewer Authority. The motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Whitted. <br />Discussion ensued. Commissioner Pinney requested that an amend- <br />ment be made to Commissioner Gustaveson's motion.. . <br />Further discussion~ignsued. Commissioner Pinney moved to amend <br />Commissioner Gustaveson's motion that Orange County advance $8,000. <br />to the Orange Water-sewer Authority contingent upon the Town of <br />Carrboro signing the agreement relative to the Orange Water-Sewer <br />Authority. Commissioner Walker seconded Commissioner Pinney's amended <br />motion. <br />The Chairman called for the vote on the amended motion. <br />Voting aye were Commissioner Garrett, Pinney and Walker. Voting <br />nay were Commissioner Gustaveson and Whitted. The Chairman declared <br />the motion passed and then called for a vote on Commissioner Gustaveson's <br />original motion. <br />All members of the Board voted aye and the motion was declared <br />passed. <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />1976-1977 BUDGET ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT <br />"The 1976-1977 Budget Orainance of Orange Count as adopted on <br />June 24, 1976, and subsequently amended, is hereby amended as <br />follows: <br />Change the appropriation for the following line items in the <br />funds indicated: <br />INCREASE <br />FUND - ITEM (DECREASE) TO TOTAL <br />General <br />Water and Sewer Authority 8,000 8,000 <br />Contingency (8,000) .159,571 <br />Change the revenues and fund balances estimated to be available <br />to meet the foregoing appropriation in the funds indicated. <br />Adopted this the 12th day of July, 1976." <br />The County Manager called the Board's attention to Agenda Attach- <br />ment II: Resolution Setting Fees for Landfill use which has been <br />adapted by the Board of Aldermen, Town of Chapel Hill. <br />-- A RESOLUTIl7N SETTING FEE$ FOR LANDFILL USE <br />"BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Chapel <br />Hill that beginning July 1, 1976, the following fees will be <br />in effect for use of the landfill operated by the Town of Chapel <br />Hill: <br />Regular garbage and trash $3/ton <br />Construction and Demolition Materials $5/ton <br />Stumps $5/ton <br />Logs $5/ton <br />Tires $5/ton <br />Minimum charges for trash and garbage <br />delivered by car $1.00 <br />Any truck $2.00 <br />Any trailer $2.00 <br />This the 14th day of June, 1976." <br />
