Fikes <br />Work Specifications TELEPHONE NUMBERS: - -eat. 2490 <br />Hillsborough 732-8181 <br />Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br />Durham 688-7331 <br />Mebane 227-2031 <br />PURPOSE: <br />To award one housing rehabilitation contract for the HOME Housing Rehabilitation Program <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Housing and Community Development Department solicited bids from qualified housing <br />rehabilitation contractors participating in the County's Housing Rehabilitation Program. Sealed <br />bids were solicited from participating contractors on April 8, 1999. The informal bidding process is <br />governed by the North Carolina General Statues §143-131 and does not require a minimum number <br />of bids. Bid results are attached. Present program procedures provide that housing rehabilitation <br />contracts be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Total funding provided by the HOME Investment Partnership Program. <br />RECOMMENDATON(S): <br />The Manager recommends awarding the following housing rehabilitation contract: <br />Dwelling Unit Bid Amount Contractor <br />Page - 107 Eugene St., Carrboro $39,480 CFW Construction Co., Inc. <br />
