The Board <br />established Apri120, 1999 as the date of a public hearing on this subject. <br />Staff will provide a brief presentation highlighting major components of the CIP. Following the public <br />comment period, staff will be available to respond to citizen and Commissioner comments or questions. <br />Further deliberation and adoption of the 1999-2009 CIP are tentatively scheduled for the work sessions of <br />the Boazd of Commissioners on May l land, if necessary, on June 8. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct fmancial impact from conducting the public hearing on the <br />CIP. However, the Boazd will make allocation decisions, for both County and school capital projects, <br />involving several million dollazs later this spring. These Board funding decisions for FY 1999-2000 will <br />be enacted through capital project ordinances that will be adopted at the June 21, 1999 Commissioners' <br />meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATON(S): The Manager recommends that the Boazd conduct the public hearing for the <br />County's ten-yeaz Capital Investment Plan. <br />
