~~~ <br />Voting aye were Commissioners Walker, Garrett, and Pinney. <br />Voting nay were Commissioners Gustaveson and Whitted. <br />The Chairman declared the motion passed. <br />Commissioner Whitted stated that there would be $28,000 avail- <br />able to Mental Health from the profits of ABC sells. The total <br />required by Mental Health is $60,000 which would mean $32,000 out <br />of a nickel on the battle. He requested an additional x$,000 from <br />this balance to be appropriated to Mental Health leaving a balance <br />of $7,800. , <br />Commissioner Whitted moved that the Board appropriate from the <br />$47,800 available from ABC funds to appropriate $40,000 to Mental <br />Health. <br />y <br />This motion was seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson. <br />The Chairman called for the vote. <br />All. members of the Board voted aye. The Chairman declared the <br />motion passed. <br />Commissioner Pinney moved that the Board accept the Manager's <br />recommendation on the Fire Districts and the Sanitary District. <br />This motion was seconded by Commissioner Walker. <br />A11 members of the Board voted aye. <br />The Chairman declared the motion passed. <br />Commissioner Whitted moved that the Supplemental School District <br />tax be set at 26~. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson. <br />Discussion ensued. Commissioner Pinney stated that he felt the <br />tax should be set at 25'-g¢ and he thought that was the intent of going <br />with the $28$.17 per pupil for current expenses. He stated that if <br />The Baard went with this, he would move that the entire budget be <br />reconsidered. He stated that was the reason for giving money into <br />the current expense, so that the District tax would not be increased. <br />Chairman Garrett stated that she was opposed to increasing the <br />supplemental tax ~d. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson and Whitted stated that they would go <br />with the 25x tax rate. <br />The Chairman called for the vote on the motion of Commissioner <br />Whitted. <br />Voting aye were Commissioners Whitted and Gustaveson. <br />Voting nay were Commissioners Garrett, Pinney and Walker. <br />The Chairman declared the...motion defeated. <br />Commissioner Pinney moved that the Special School District tax <br />be set at 25?g¢..
