The composition, duties and responsibilities of such committees will <br />be specified in the Carrboro Land Use Ordinance. This amendment will implement a recommendation <br />contained in the Facilitated Small Area Plan for Carrboro's Northern Study Area (see the attached <br />Resolution "B" adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on February 2, 1999). <br />FINANCIAL IlVIPACT: There will be no direct fmancial impact from the consideration of this <br />amendment; however, with the creation of a Transition Area Advisory Committee there may be additional <br />staff resources required of Carrboro (and possibly Orange County) to assist the committee with its work. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Orange County, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro Planning staffs recommend <br />approval of the proposed amendment to the Joint Planning Agreement. Following conclusion of the public <br />hearing, the matter should be referred to the towns of .Chapel Hill and Carrboro for decision and then to the <br />Orange County Planning Board fora recommendation to the Orange County Commissioners.
