43 <br />Human Rights and Relations — Existing Time Limited Civil Rights <br />• Specialist <br />Request: Convert an existing full time permanent time - limited Civil Rights Specialist to <br />permanent status. <br />Purpose: To continue the current level of services to the community by maintaining the <br />existing number of employment and housing discrimination complaints resolved and training <br />sessions and programs conducted. <br />Job Functions: <br />❑ Provides intake, investigation and resolution of discrimination complaints in employment <br />and housing. <br />❑ Conducts training sessions on equal employment, fair housing and public accommodation <br />practices for businesses and individuals. <br />Reason for Request: <br />In July 1997 the Board established this permanent time limited Civil Rights Specialist <br />position with an ending date of June 30, 1999 to address caseload.
