45n <br />The Chairman referred to Item VIII: Health Task Force Interim <br />Report. <br />Chairman Garrett recognized Gray Clark, Chairman of the Orange <br />County Community Health Task Force, and Nancy Coleman, Vice-Chair- <br />person of the Health Task Force. <br />Mr. Clark filed a report entitled "Interim Report of the Orange <br />County Community Health Task Force." He proceedo~to review pertinent <br />data contained in the report. He called the Board's attention to <br />specific recommendations that had been made by the Health Task Force. <br />Discussion ensued. (For copy of the Interim Report of the <br />Community Health Task Force, see A4inute File for June 7, 1976.) <br />Chairman Garrett express the graditu~,e of the Board to the members <br />of the Task Force for the work well done. <br />The Chairman referred to Item IX on the Agenda: Consideration of <br />an agreement with Hillsborough, Orange County and the Employment <br />Security Commission designed to implement operation of an Employment <br />Security Commission Office for northern Orange County in the Town of <br />Hillsborough. <br />Discussion ensued concerning the letter from the Town of Hillsborough <br />relative to the sharing of expense for office space for the Employment <br />Security Commission. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved that the County of Orange share the <br />utility cost of the Employment Security Commission with the Town of <br />Hillsborough up to the amount of $400. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Whitted. <br />Commissioner Pinney requested Commissioner Gustaveson to amend his <br />motion to include that the County would not assume any cost of the <br />facility until the Hillsborough Fire Department had vacated the premises. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson agreed to so amend the motion. <br />The Chairman called for the motion. <br />All members of the Board voted aye, and the motion was declared <br />passed. <br />Mrs. Garrett referred to Item X on the Agenda: The Manager is pro- <br />posing the adopting, effective July 1, 1976, a new schedule of Electrical <br />Inspection Fees. <br />The Board reviewed the Electrical Inspection Fee Scheduled as sub- <br />mitted by the County Administrator. <br />Commissioner Walker moved for the adoption.af the Electrical Fee <br />Schedule as presented by the County Administrator, Commission Gustaveson <br />seconded the motion, <br />Commissioner Pinney stated that he felt the fees for the mobile <br />home inspection were too high and that this matter should be placed on <br />the table until a comparison of adjoining counties' fees could be <br />secured. The Board tabled the matter and the County Manager was <br />instructed to inquire into fee charges by other counties. <br />Chairman Garrett referred to Item XI: Commissioner Richard <br />Whitted will make a report concerning coordination of the various <br />efforts to improve housing quality in which the County is involved. <br />Commissioner Whitted stated that he felt the County should tie -- <br />the entire housing development into the Community Housing Development <br />and that the Board might want to consider the entire Housing Authority <br />concerpt at some point in time and to make a separate Housing Authority. <br />Discussion ensued. The County Administrator stated that there were <br />no monies available except in Section Eight, and that Orange Ccunty was <br />the only County in Region J where no private developer had come forth <br />to participate in community housing. <br />Commissioner Whitted stated that often times the people getting <br />the work done were not really sure of whom they were dealing with. <br />
