WORIC.SITE PREPARATION <br />A. GROUND CONTAINMENT <br />1. Before exterior construction, construct a work site perimeter curb of 2x4 <br />timbers ten (10) feet from the house exterior. Create an outer barrier of flags <br />and/or plastic tape three {3) feet on center and twenty (20) feet from the <br />worksite. Post proper signage in the work area. All warning signs must <br />remain posted until clearance is passed. <br />2. During the period of work on all exterior components attach one layer of G- <br />mil polyethylene to the building exterior with furring strips, extending the (10) <br />feet past the work site. Wrap the plastic under the perimeter 2x4's. Change <br />the plastic daily. <br />B. CLEARANCE EXAMINATION <br />1. After completion of aII work that disturbed LBP and any other lead hazard <br />reduction activities, a qualified person shall perform a clearance examination. <br />Work disturbing lead-based paint is not considered complete until clearance is <br />achieved. <br />C. PRE-CLEAN <br />Pre-clean the interior of the unit in all areas that Lead Paint was disturbed. <br />HEPA vacuum all horizontal surfaces, to include all floors, windowsills, <br />troughs, baseboards and casing. <br />~38 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
