442A <br />NlTNUT.ES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW <br />MAY 18, 1976 <br />The 1976 Orange County Board of Equalization and Review convensJ.d <br />on May 18, 1976, in the Commissioners Room of the Orange County Court- <br />house. <br />Present were Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioner Norman Gustaveson, <br />Jan Pinney and Richard Whitted. <br />- Absent was Commissioner Norman Walker. <br />The Board resolved a number of appeals heard at earlier 1976 sessions <br />by appropriate orders. Confirming the 1976 valuation of $105,000 appealed <br />by Alton B. Pons (Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 85, Block M, Lot 42); <br />confirming the 1976 valuation of $18,600 appealed by Mrs. Pattie Hopkins <br />(Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 92, Block J, Parcel 11A); reducing the <br />1976 valuation appealed by Daniel B. Menzel (Eno Township, Tax Map 13, <br />Parcel 6A, #2 The Pharms) from $51,200 to $48,800; confirming the 1976 <br />valuation of $10,400 appealed by Madeleine D. Schuermann (Chapel Hill <br />Township, Tax Map 2, Parcel 19); reducing the 1976 valuation of $17,500 <br />appealed by David M. Shanklin (Cheeks Township, Tax Map 6, Parcel 34) to <br />$17,300 by reducing the valuation of the new house on this parcel when <br />'complete from $39,900 to $38,100; reducing the 1976 valuation appealed <br />by the Village West Homeowners Association (Chapel Hill Township, Tax <br />Map 30A, Block A, Parcel 1) from $113,600 to $103,100 by reducing the <br />valuation of the Association's land from $12,000 per acre to $10,000 per <br />acre. Garrett, Chairman <br />William Laws, Acting Clerk <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW <br />May 24, 1976 <br />The 1976 Orange County Board of Equalization and Review convened on <br />May 24, 1976, in the Commissioners Room of -the Orange County Courthouse. <br />Present were Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioner Richard Whitted, <br />Norman Gustaveson, and Jan Pinney <br />Absent was Commissioner Norman Walker. <br />The Board considered an appeal by Valley Forge Corporation concerning <br />the valuation of its property in Hillsborough Township identified on Tax <br />Map 42, Block B as Parcel 3A and by appropriate order reduced the 1976 <br />valuation from $2,413,600 to $2,138,.300. The Board by appropriate order <br />reduced the 1976 valuation appealed by James J. Freeland from $949,400 to <br />$736,900, (Hillsborough Township, Tax Map 40, Block A, Parcels 24 and 33). <br />The 1976 valuation of property of Frank H. Kenan (Chapel Hill Township, <br />Tax Map 86, Block C, Parcel 5) was altered by appropriate order reducing <br />the valuation of this land from $1,883,300 to $1,777,900. The Board also <br />by appropriate order approved the following 1976 valuations for property <br />of Heater Utilities, Inc. used in connection with the following sub- <br />division developments: <br />Whispering Pines (Eno Township) $14,665.83 <br />Foxboro (Bingham Township) 7,499,72 <br />Wildcat Creek (Bingham Township) 11,170.85 <br />Robins Wood (Chapel Hill Township) 13,420.75 <br />
