ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: June 16, 2009 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. i0- b <br />SUBJECT: Oran a County Housin Authority-New Appointments <br />DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): Under Separate Cover <br />Membership Roster <br />Application(s)/Resume(s) of Person(s) <br />Recommended <br />Interest List <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clerk's Office, 245-2130 <br />PURPOSE: To consider making new appointments to the Orange County Housing Authority. <br />BACKGROUND: According to the revised Bylaws of the Orange County Housing Authority, the <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners appoint all members of the Housing Authority Board to <br />include one member who is directly assisted by the Authority and one member who is the <br />Executive Director of the Authority. <br />To facilitate the appointment of new members the County has advertised for the remaining five <br />members of the Housing Authority Board and received five applications for the vacancy. All <br />applicants have been contacted and have agreed to serve on the Board. The applicants are <br />James O. Anderson, Jean Bolduc, Andrew Davenport, Martha Hoylman, and Jabrina Robinson. <br />Additionally, Tara L. Fikes and Patricia Muhammed are also recommended for appointment as <br />the Executive Director and resident board member respectively. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making new appointments to the Orange County Housing <br />Authority. <br />
