MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COf•lNiISSIONERS <br />MAY 6, 1976 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session <br />on Thursday, May 6, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Roam of <br />the Courthouse in Hillsborough. <br />Members present were Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioners Norman <br />Gustaveson, Jan Pinney, Norman Walker and Richard Whitted, <br />Members absent were none. <br />Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Administrator; Neal Evans, <br />Fiscal Officer; Jeff Gledhill, County Attorney; and Betty June Hayes, <br />Clerk to the Board. Other Department Heads present were Hortense Dickson, <br />Tom Ward, Irvin Dobson, Ebert Pierce and t4illiam Laws. <br />y <br />The Chairman opened the meeting by recognizing Chris Edwards from <br />the Planning Department who was present to approve the plat of Perry, <br />Perry, and Cates. This plat was previously submitted far approval and <br />was delayed until the County Attorney could research the matter further. <br />Mr. Edwards informed the Board that a new maintenance agreement <br />for the road had been drawn and now filled ail requirements, A reference <br />will go into the deed and the private roads did come under the Subdivision <br />Ordinance. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, <br />it was moved and unanimously adopted to approve the plat of Perry, Perry, <br />and Cates, <br />Chairman Garrett presented to the Board a Memorandum from John L. <br />Delaney. The County Administrator was requested to forward the Memorandum <br />with a cover letter. <br />Chairman Garrett then recognized Mr. Joseph Nassif, the County <br />Facility Consultant. <br />Mr. Jospeh Nassif introduced to the Board his assistant, Mrs. <br />Oldenberg, Stan Roberts, Mechanical Engineer; and Frank Knox, the <br />Electrical Engineer who had worked with him in the facility study. <br />Mr. Nassif then presented in detail three proposals as the Orange <br />County Facility Space Study. <br />At the conclusion of Mr. Massif's presentation, Commissioner Pinney <br />move that bids for the Central Dispatch system go out and that the location <br />of the site be identified as the general Court complex in Hillsborough. <br />This motion was seconded by Commissiener Whitted. <br />The Chairman called for the vote. <br />A11 members voted aye. <br />The Board agreed the Mr. Massif's report was very exciting and the <br />Chairman expressed the Board's appreciation to Mr, Nassif and his associ- <br />ates, <br />The meeting was then adjourned. <br />~~~ ~~ ~ <br />Betty June Hayes, Clerk Flora R. Garrett, Chairman <br />MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW <br />May 6, 1976 <br />The 1976 Orange County Board of Equalization convened on May 6. <br />1976 in the Commissioner's Room of the Orange County Courthouse. <br />Members present were Flora Garrett, Richard Whitted, Norman Walker, <br />Jan Pinney, and Norman Gustaveson. <br />
