Acres of New Hope - Gary Davis and Edward Wright: The lots in consideration here are the ones created through il- legal subdivision of a larger tract. This subdivision was considered at the April 5th meeting of the Board of Commissioners and na action was taken pending a report on the illegal lot matter by the County Attorney. This report iaas given on April 20. The Planning Board recommend a variance be granted to relieve __ .._ the owners of the requirement to pave the access and unanimously approved the plat on April l~~th. Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, it was moved and unanimously adopted to approve the plat of Gary Davis and Edward Wright of Acres of New Hope. G. Thomas L. Somme - In December, 1975, the Board of Commis- sioners considered and approved this plat. The owner failed to record the approved plat within the six day time limit provided in therCounty Ordinance therefore the plat is being resubmitted for approval. Upon motion of Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner Pinney, it was moved and unanimously adopted to reapprove the final plat for Thomas L. Summey. The Board of Commissioners agreed to extend to Mr. S. H. Jones, District Engineer with the Department of Transportation, a thank you for the prompt action in handling the road maintenance situation for the Efland Cheeks area. The Board of Commissioners deferred fzom the Agenda to hear Mrs. Robin Andrews, Chairperson of the Bicentennial Steering Committee. Mrs. Andrews informed the Board of the coming events planned by the Bicentennial Committee. The Chairman referred to Item vI:. Appointments A. Mr. Phillip Cook, a County appointee to the Chapel Hill Planning Board has resigned. A vacancy, until the expiration of his term, now exists on this Board. The Board was also informed that one member of the Chapel Hill Planning Board was not attending the meetings and the Planning Board wished to know if that member wished to be replaced. The Clerk was instructed to write this member and ask if he wished to continue serving on the Chapel Hill. Planning Board. The Clerk was also instructed to write the Town Of Chapel Hill Planning Office and request recommendations to the Chapel Hill Planning Board. The Chairman referred to Item VII - Budget Amendments: A. The regular quarterly amendment to the budget of the Orange County School Board. (For Copy of School Board Budget Amendment, See Minute Docket Book Nine, Page ). Upon motion of Commissioner Whitted, seconded by Commissioner Pinney, it was moved and unanimously adopted to approve the Budget Amendment of the Orange County School Board. B. Amendment to the..Social Services Budget _ (Far Copy of Social Services Budget Amendment, See Minute Docket Book Nine, Page ). Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted to approve the Budget Amendment to the social Services Budget.
