Acres of New Hope - Gary Davis and Edward Wright: <br />The lots in consideration here are the ones created through il- <br />legal subdivision of a larger tract. This subdivision was considered <br />at the April 5th meeting of the Board of Commissioners and na action <br />was taken pending a report on the illegal lot matter by the County <br />Attorney. This report iaas given on April 20. <br />The Planning Board recommend a variance be granted to relieve __ .._ <br />the owners of the requirement to pave the access and unanimously <br />approved the plat on April l~~th. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and unanimously adopted to approve the <br />plat of Gary Davis and Edward Wright of Acres of New Hope. <br />G. Thomas L. Somme - In December, 1975, the Board of Commis- <br />sioners considered and approved this plat. The owner failed to <br />record the approved plat within the six day time limit provided in <br />therCounty Ordinance therefore the plat is being resubmitted for <br />approval. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner <br />Pinney, it was moved and unanimously adopted to reapprove the final <br />plat for Thomas L. Summey. <br />The Board of Commissioners agreed to extend to Mr. S. H. Jones, <br />District Engineer with the Department of Transportation, a thank you <br />for the prompt action in handling the road maintenance situation for <br />the Efland Cheeks area. <br />The Board of Commissioners deferred fzom the Agenda to hear Mrs. <br />Robin Andrews, Chairperson of the Bicentennial Steering Committee. <br />Mrs. Andrews informed the Board of the coming events planned by the <br />Bicentennial Committee. <br />The Chairman referred to Item vI:. Appointments <br />A. Mr. Phillip Cook, a County appointee to the Chapel Hill <br />Planning Board has resigned. A vacancy, until the expiration <br />of his term, now exists on this Board. <br />The Board was also informed that one member of the Chapel Hill <br />Planning Board was not attending the meetings and the Planning Board <br />wished to know if that member wished to be replaced. <br />The Clerk was instructed to write this member and ask if he wished <br />to continue serving on the Chapel Hill. Planning Board. <br />The Clerk was also instructed to write the Town Of Chapel Hill <br />Planning Office and request recommendations to the Chapel Hill Planning <br />Board. <br />The Chairman referred to Item VII - Budget Amendments: <br />A. The regular quarterly amendment to the budget of the <br />Orange County School Board. <br />(For Copy of School Board Budget Amendment, See Minute <br />Docket Book Nine, Page ). <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Whitted, seconded by Commissioner <br />Pinney, it was moved and unanimously adopted to approve the Budget <br />Amendment of the Orange County School Board. <br />B. Amendment to the..Social Services Budget _ <br />(Far Copy of Social Services Budget Amendment, <br />See Minute Docket Book Nine, Page ). <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted to approve the Budget Amendment <br />to the social Services Budget. <br />
