40~ I <br />P1rs. Garrett informed the Board that she had been contacted by <br />Ezza McFarland of SR #1715 and $1716 and that part of these roads is <br />on the State's Roads Priority List and part were not. The Citizens of <br />the area would like a clarification by the Department of Transportation <br />as to what portion are on the priority list. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner Pinney, <br />it was moved and adopted that the Clerk write the Department of Trans- <br />portation to clarify the status of State Roads #1715 and #1716. <br />The Chairman informed the Board that a group of citizens on Piney <br />Grove Church Road, which is also Colonial Hills Extension, would like <br />to have their road paved through owner participation. These people <br />would like to meet with the Commissioners and discuss the possibility <br />of paying for the paving of their road through the assessment program. <br />P4r. Gustaveson requested that this meeting be placed on the Agenda <br />for the third Tuesday's meeting and that back-up data regarding the <br />accessment program be made available to the Berard. The Clerk was re- <br />quested to inform PZr. Janes of this meeting and the citizens of the <br />Colonial Hills Extension area. <br />The Chairman referred to Item IT: Minutes of prior meetings. <br />The minutes of the April 15, 1976 meeting were reviewed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gustaveson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Pinney, it was moved and adopted that the minutes of the April 15, 1976 <br />meeting be adopted. <br />'The minutes of the April 16, 1976 meeting were reviewed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted that the minutes of April 16, 1976 <br />be approved. <br />The minutes of the April 20, 1976 meeting were reviiwed, and <br />corrections were pointed out. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner <br />Whitted, it was moved and adopted that the minutes of the April 20, <br />1976 meeting b.e approved. <br />The minutes of April 23, 1976 were reviewed, and corrections were <br />pointed out. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Whitted, seconded by Commissioner <br />Pinney, it was moved and adapted that'the minutes of April 23, 1976 <br />be approved. <br />The minutes of April 29, 1976 were reviewed with corrections <br />suggested. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Whitted, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted that the minutes of the April <br />29, 1976 meeting be approved. <br />Chairman Garrett presented to the Board a letter she had <br />received from representatives of the CRIB Agency. The Board reaffirmed <br />their willingness to allow County matching contribution of $1,500 be <br />offered to CRIB to be used as a local match in the 314-D Program. <br />The Chairman referred to Item III: Consideration of a proposed <br />seal for Orange County. The Chairman recognized Eddie Bowland and <br />Mrs. C. D. Jones. It was explained that this was the coat of arms <br />of William TII of Orange and that the royal crest was left off the <br />top since cve were no longer a royal colony. wars. Jones informed <br />the Board that the County does not have an official seal and this <br />was the original seal of the House of Orange which the County was <br />named after. <br />Commissioner Walker moved that the County adopt the Coat of <br />Arms as the County's official seal. This motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Whitted. <br />
