<br />RESOLUTION N0. <br />WHEREAS, the Town Board of Commissioners recognizes a'.~great need to <br />control soil erosion and sedimentation and those activities which result in erosion <br />and sedimentation within the Town of Hillsborough and <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina G. S. 113A-60, provides that two or more units <br />of local government are authorized to establish a joint soil erosion and sedimentation <br />control program and enter into such agreements as are necessary for the proper <br />administration and enforcement of such a program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners have expressed their <br />willingness to cooperate with the Town of Hillsborough in administering <br />and enforcing a soil erosion and sedimentation control program within the Town of <br />Hillsborough and <br />(Town Board Members) <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Hillsborough are desirous of participating in the <br />county soil erosion and sedimentation control program as established by the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Hillsborough Town Board <br />of the Town of Hillsborough <br />Section One. That the Hillsborough Town Board request the Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners to administer and enforce the county soil erosion and <br />sedimentation control program within the Town of Hillsborough <br />Section Two. That Section 17 of the Erosion and Sedimentation Control <br />Ordinance of Orange County be administered within the Town of Hillsborough <br />and that no permit shall be required for land disturbing activities at any one time, <br />20,000 square feet <br />by any person or persons on any one tract of land that does not exceed e~~~cx~~- <br />surface area provided that assurances are made satisfactory to the Orange County <br />Erosion Control Officer, if requested, that sediment control measures be utilized <br />to protect against off-site damages. <br />
