This
would be a hardship to this part of the County.
Another one was eliminate response to community concerns about environmental
issues, etc. This includes the phone calls that come into the department when citizens do not
know who else to call. Staff fields about 2,500 calls a year.
The Board of Health also wanted to highlight suspending hiring for the EH Program
Specialist position in Food and Lodging program. The Board of Health was concerned that this
is one of the primary responses for food borne outbreaks.
The other two items that concerned the Board of Health were discontinuing the Refugee
Health Assessment Program and suspending hiring the Medical Office Assistant.
