Laws <br />Tax Supervisor <br />MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />April 15, 1976 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met at 6:30 <br />p.m. in special session at the Colonial Tnn with members of the Orange <br />County Social Services Board. <br />s <br />All members were present. <br />This meeting was held for the purpose of giving preliminary con- <br />sideration to a proposed budget for the Orange County Social Services <br />Agency for the 1976 - 1977 fiscal year. <br />Mr. Tom Ward, Social Services Director, reviewed the proposed <br />budget with the County Commissioners and pointed out areas of signi- <br />ficant increase or change. <br />At the conclusion of Mr. Ward's presentation r.he Board of Commis- <br />sioners agreed to giving the proposal preliminary approtral for purposes <br />of sending the document on to the State Social Services Agency. This <br />document however would be accompanied by a letter pointing out the fact <br />that this budget was considered by the Board of Commissioners at this <br />time only to comply with provisions of the State Law requiring County <br />consideration by April 15th. The Board of County Commissioners in no <br />way considers this preliminary endorsement binding and that the budget <br />would be considered again at the time othe~ount b~ud~ets are reviewed <br />and acted upon. ` ~~0. <br />Flora R. Gattis, Acting Clerk <br />MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMM25S1ONERS <br />April 16, 1976 <br />The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in <br />Efland at the Multi-Purpose Center at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, April 16, <br />1976. <br />Members Present: Chairman Flora Garrett and Commissioners Richard <br />Whitted, Norman Gustaveson and Jan rinney. <br />Commissioner Norman Walker was absent. <br />This meeting was held for the purpose of inspecting some of the <br />secondary roads in the Efland Area. Mr. Earl Hoover, Assistant Division <br />Highway Engineer, Mr. Sam Jones, District Engineer and Mr. Steve Chappel, <br />County Maintenance Superintendent were also present and went on the road <br />inspection tour. <br />The group inspected State Road numbers: 1313, 1314, 1315, 1316, <br />and 1378, and agreed to discuss the classification of these roads with <br />the State Secondary Roads Council when they meet with this agency in P4ay. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 5:y~Ma VT ~1 <br />Flora R.
