. ~'~5 <br />The Chairman referred to Item X22: The County Finance Director <br />will present several budget amendments for consideration by the Board <br />of Commissioners. <br />(For copy of Budget Amendments see Minute Docket Book Nine, <br />Page ). <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Whitted, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted to approve the budget amendments <br />presented by the Finance Director. All members of the Board voted <br />aye. <br />- Commissioner Gustaveson suggested to the Board that April 12 be <br />set as a meeting for the completion of the Agenda. <br />The Board scheduled April 22, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. as a meeting <br />with the Eno River Task Farce and Joe Nassif, Consultant. <br />Chairman Garrett stated that Carrboro had requested a meeting <br />with the County tv discuss alternates concerning the Water-Sewer <br />situation. <br />` Commissioner Gustaveson stated that he wondered if a meeting <br />would be fruitful at this time. The Board agreed to wait until <br />after the Authority meets before scheduling a meeting. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved that the meeting adjourn. <br />The Board of Commissioner reconvened as the County Board of <br />Equalization and Review. At this time, Shirley James, Assistant <br />- Clerk of Superior Court administered the oath of office to each <br />member of the Berard of Equalization and Review. <br />(For Copy of Oath see Miscellaneous Book, File 76-M-22 <br />in the Clerk of Superior Court's Office.) <br />The Board of Commissioners scheduled April 14, 1976 and April <br />21, 1976, as the first meeting of the Board of Equalization and <br />Review. <br />The meeting was then adjourned. <br />~I~d <br />Flora R. Garrett, Chairman <br />Betty June Hayes, Clerk <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />April 12, 1976 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met on Monday, April 12, <br />1976, at 7:30 p.m., in the Commissioner's Room of the Courthouse. <br />Members present were Vice-Chairman Richard E. Whined, Commis- <br />sioners Norman Gustaveson, Jan Pinney and Norman Walker. <br />Member absent was Chairman Flora Garrett. <br />Others present were S. M. Gattis, County Manager; Neal Evans, <br />Finance Director; and Agatha Johnson, Acting Clerk. <br />Vice-Chairman Whitted called the meeting to order and recognized <br />Shirley Fields, State Coordinator for the Council on the Status of <br />Women. Members of the Orange County Council on the Status of Women <br />introduced themselves. Vice-Chairman Whitted welcomed the ladies to <br />the meeting and expressed the Board's appreciation to them for agreeing <br />to serve in this capacity. <br />Ms. Field stated that the Commission tonight would organize and <br />decide on what areas of study they should concentrate. She stated that <br />she wanted the Board to understand that the Council was not in anyway <br />
