360 <br />"wEiEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners are authorized <br />by the North Carolina State Statutes to install a permanent <br />listing system for real property in Orange County, and; <br />j~F-IEREr~S, It has been determ~,nad by the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners that such a system would facilitate a more adequate <br />listing of real property and would be helpful to the taxpayers <br />of Orange County: <br />NOt~d, THEREI'ORE, BE YT RESOLVED by the orange County Board of <br />Commissioners that effective January 1, 1975 a permanent <br />listing system shall be installed and applied to all real <br />property in Orange County in accordance with the provisions <br />of G.S. 1D5-303; <br />AL7D BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution <br />be forwarded according to G.S. 105-303(b) to the North <br />Carolina Department of Revenue for approval. <br />Passed and adopted this loth day of r_arch, 1976." <br />Upon motion of Commissior_er Gustaveson, seconded by Commissioner <br />T.•'hitted, it was moved and adopted that the Resolution Adopting a <br />System for the Permanent Listing of Real Property in Orange County <br />be approved. <br />The Chairman referred to Item IV: Appointments --Section C - <br />One Vacancy for a term expiring in October, 1976, exists on the <br />Carrboro Board of Adjustment. The Board of Adjustment recommends <br />r?r. Dallas Alford be named to this vacancy. <br />Commissioner Pinney moved that Px. Dallas Alford be named to <br />fulfill this term which expires in October of 1976, on the Carrboro <br />Board of Adjustment. <br />Commissioner walker seconded this motion. <br />rill members of the Board voted aye. <br />The Chairman declared the motion passed. <br />Chairman Garrett announced that the first meeting of the County <br />Board of Equalization and Review would be held on April 5. The <br />schedule of additional meetings of this Board would be announced at <br />that time. <br />Commissioner Pinney moved that the following Resolutior_ design- <br />ating the schedule of meetings of the County Board of Equalization <br />and Review beeenacted. Commissioner Gustaveson seccnded the motion. <br />All members of the Board voted aye on the motion. <br />This notion was declared passed. <br />"The Orange County Board of Equalization and review will hold <br />its initial meeting for 1976 to hear appeals of property tax <br />valuations on PSonday, April S, at 2:30 p.m. in the Commissioners <br />room of the Orange County Courthouse and will meet subsequently <br />as the Board deems necessary. The Boar will adjourn on June <br />30 unless notice or an earlier or later adjournment is provided <br />in this publication. Anyone who wished to appear before the <br />Board should. contact the Orange County Tax Supervisor's Office, <br />1D6 East P~Iargaret Lane, Hillsborough." <br />The meeting was adjourned. <br />flora R.
