Benedict, 245 -2592 <br />Perdita Holtz, 245 -2611 <br />PURPOSE: To receive the Rogers Road Small Area Plan Task Force Report, in relation to the <br />Historic Rogers Road Community Enhancement Plan Development Monitoring Task Force <br />Report, and consider submitting comments to the Town of Chapel Hill. <br />BACKGROUND: The Rogers Road Small Area Plan Task Force is a Town of Chapel Hill <br />Planning effort focused on the Rogers Road community (see map of study area on pages 7 and <br />8 of the attached report). The Task Force was created by the Town Council on December 4, <br />2006 and has been working on a Small Area Plan since early 2007. The Task Force completed <br />its work in early 2009 and a Final Report was discussed at the March 26, 2009 Assembly of <br />Governments meeting. <br />Town Task Force <br />The Task Force's Final Report contains recommendations in several topic areas on pages 20 <br />and 21. The Implementation process begins on page 22. Several recommendations are of <br />particular interest to Orange County because of past area infrastructure funding, future funding <br />sources, and involvement of the Greene Tract, of which Orange County is a joint owner (see <br />further discussion of the Greene Tract below).
