AIA Document B151-1997 page 16 <br />Orange County Emergency Services Center <br />ARTICLE 12 OTHER CONDITIONS OR SERVICES <br />12.1 The Designer's ability to adhere to the schedule proposed by the Owner is predicated upon <br />timely receipt of reviews and approvals from the Owner, authorized agencies or agents of the <br />Owner, consultants or contractor hired by the Owner and local or state agencies having <br />jurisdiction over the project. It is CRTs understanding that Resolute Building Company will <br />act as the CM-at-Risk for the project and that the latest schedule provides nvlestone dates <br />which lead to a proposed completion date within the third quarter of 2008. <br />12.2 CONSTRUCTION PHASE: <br />During the construction phase of the work, the term "INSPECTION" shall be defined as follows: <br />"Inspection shall consist of visual observations of materials, equipment or construction work for <br />the purpose of ascertaining that the work is in substantial conformance with the Contract <br />Documents and with the design intent. Others shall not rely upon such inspection as <br />acceptance of the work, nor should it be construed to relieve the Contractor in any way from <br />the obligations and responsibilities the Contractor assumes under the construction contract. <br />Specifically, but without limitation, inspection by the Design Professional shall not require the <br />Design Professional to assume responsibilities for the means and methods of construction, nor <br />for safety on the jobsite." <br />Add the following paragraph to Article 2.6.5: <br />"Site visits shall be made weekly, for the estimated eight (8)-month construction period and are <br />included under Basic Services. If additional trips are required for whatever reason, these trips <br />shall be deemed as AdditionalServices and will be billed at hourly rates (see 11.3.1). If the <br />completion date of the project is extended, Additional Services.will be billed at hourly rates." <br />12.3 ADDTITONAL SERVICES: <br />A. .Submittals to the Town of Hillsborough and the Town of Iiillsborough's Board of Adjustment <br />for review and approval (one submittal packet and attendance atone meeting): $4,800 <br />B. Furniture selection and interior design can be <br />provided on an hourly basis. <br />Total fee for Additional Services: ,; $4,800 <br />See Article 11.3 for compensation rates for Additional Services riot listed above. ' ` <br />C. Services not included: <br />- Legal fees <br />- Geotechnical investigation <br />- Town permitting or approval process fees <br />- Renderings or models <br />- Construction Administration beyond Basic Services. <br />- Meetings with Board of Adjustment beyond those scheduled under Additional Services. <br />- Renovations to the existing building beyond those outlined in Basic Services. <br />- Testing of materials during construction period. <br />- Asbestos survey or lead paint removal from existing building. <br />0607-con.12 <br />
