I <br /> 1 <br /> i <br /> } <br /> i <br /> Community and Environment <br /> NonmDepartmentals <br /> Blackwood and Cate operations $'10,000 <br /> These funds will provide the necessary operational costs associated with security system <br /> service and maintenance, grounds maintenance, as well as utility costs at the Blackwood Farm <br /> Property. <br /> Town of Hillsborough/Orange County Strategic Growth: Plan Phase 11 $10,000 <br /> In FY 2005-06, the BoCC and Town of Hillsborough collaborated on the Town of <br /> Hillsborough/Orange County Strategic Growth Plan Phase 1, which was adopted by both <br /> entities. Phase I set the growth management framework through a resolution to prompt work to <br /> be done in Phase 11. Coordinated Planning Zones, annexation boundaries, land use patterns <br /> and intensities and complementary resource and infrastructure plans and outreach are all part <br /> of Phase 11. on February 19th, 2009, orange County and the Town of Hillsborough met in joint <br /> meeting and received the draft Phase 11 report. The next phase is the implementation phase of <br /> the Coordinated Planning Interlocal Agreement Initiative. <br /> Jordan Lake Dues $10,500 <br /> This line item includes several initiatives related to Jordan Lake. <br /> Jordan Lake water Storage Allocation ($2,600) <br /> Represents orange County's annual payment to the State of North Carolina for <br /> the current 1 million gallons per day (mgd) Level 11 allocation the County holds. <br /> To retain the allocation, the County pays one percent of the operations, <br /> maintenance and rehabilitation program costs. The State of North Carolina has <br /> the responsibility to allocate and manage water supply storage in Jordan Lake, <br /> and the Division of water Resources is the lead agency for carrying out this <br /> charge. <br /> Jordan Lake Partnership Dues ($2,500)—New Initiative <br /> On February 17, Grange County joined an 11 local government coalition with a <br /> goal of "collaboratively defining Jordan Lake's role in a long term sustainable and <br /> secure regional water supply for the Research Triangle Region." Partnership <br /> members pay annual dues toward the partnership efforts and administration. <br /> Jordan Lake Regional water Supply Plan and Coordinated Allocation <br /> Requests ($5,500)—New Initiative <br /> As the initial task of the Jordan Lake partnership, the County is participating in <br /> developing a regional water supply plan for Jordan Lake, and for data collection <br /> and documentation toward future allocation requests. This is a one-time cost and <br /> is the County's share (3.5%) of the total project cost. <br />
