2 <br />This plan must be filed with HUD and must contain the attached Certification of Compliance/ <br />Board Resolution signed by the Chair of the Board of Commissioners in order to continue to <br />administer the Section 8 Existing Housing Choice Voucher Program. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for rental subsidies for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher <br />Program is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The annual <br />budget for these subsidies is approximately $4,296,024. <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends the Housing Authority Board conduct a <br />public hearing and approve submission of the Annual Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan for the <br />Orange County Housing Authority and authorize the Chair to sign the Certification of <br />Compliance/Board Resolution on behalf of the Board at the end of the public comment period. <br />
