The focus of the <br />discustion was a documejit titled "Greene Tract: The Headwaters <br />Preserve and Campus This document contains gul I ding <br />principals" for the use of the 104 acre portion of the Greene <br />Tract jointly owned by Carrboro, Chapel Hill and orange County.. <br />and paralteters f i0 r "Proposed Conservation Easements" an the 60 <br />acre portion of the-Greene Tract owned solely by orange County. <br />A copy, of that document Is enclosed. At the staff .meeting there <br />was also a discussion concerning the County paying the Solid. <br />Waste System enterprise fund for the.60 gcre portion of the <br />Greene Tract. This letter is intended to bring to-your attention <br />what, in my opinion, is. a conceptual problem with the plan to <br />use the 60 acre portion•of the Greene Tract for conservation <br />purposes and, in my opinioh, a conceptual problem with the <br />County being solely responsible for reimbursing the Solid Waste <br />System enterprise fund•for this 60 acres'of land. <br />Enclosed with this.letter also are copies of the Agreement <br />to Amend the Agreement for Solid Waste Management (the <br />Amenftent) and•the Agreement for Solid*Waste Management (the <br />Agreement).
