The <br />~recommendatzons of these two groups will have significant <br />effects on the County's responsibilities for <br />trans ortation, and especially its funding <br />P <br />responsibi/it~.es. <br />.. Special Transit Advisory Commission ~STAC~ <br />The STAG has been appointed by the area's two <br />N~etropolztan Plann~.ng Drganl~atians ~MPOs~ to <br />make recommendations on future transit <br />investments in the Triangle. The Commission will <br />be holding its final meeting on April Z5, X008 <br />and is expected to complete its final report soon <br />thereafter. dew funding will be requested to~ <br />carry out the STAC's recommendations, and that <br />will include state and local funding. <br />2.
