County Board of Equalization and Review met Thursday, May 29, 1975, <br />at 7:~J o'vlvck p.m., in the Commissieners Room of the Orange County Courthouse r,~- <br />its fourth meeting. <br />Members present: Chairman Flora Garrett, Commissioners Norm Gustaveson, <br />Jan Pinney, and Richard Whined. <br />Members absent: Commissioner Norman Walker. <br />The Board heard appeals of 1975 real property tax valuations for the indicated <br />properties by the following persons: <br />Township Tax Map Block Parcel <br />(29) E. L. <br />Haslam, Counsel, from the Tax Supezvisor's denial in part of application for exemv- <br />tion and determined to defer resolution of this appeal pending further consideration. <br />The Board by appropriate orders reduced the 1975 valuation of the property of <br />the Order of Gimghoul (Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 60 Block B Parcel 19) from <br />$356,800. to $327,600. by reducing the valuation per acre of the land from $10,000_ <br />to $9,000.; reduced the 1975 valuation of the property of John N. and Else Couch <br />(Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 46 Block B Parcel 1) from $262,600 to $179,500; <br />reduced the 1975 valuation of the property of Else R. Couch (Chapel Hill Township, <br />Tax Map 46 Block B Parcel. lA) from S 17,700. to $14,400.; reduced the 1975 valuation <br />of the property of John M_ and Sa11y Couch Vilas (Chapel Hill Township, Tax Map 46 <br />Block B Parcel ls) from $27,900. to $21,300.; reduced the 1975 valuation of the <br />property of Roland Riley (Hillsborough Township, Tax Map 33 Block E Parcel 3) from <br />$16,700. to $12,200. The Board also erdera3the 1975 valuation of that property in <br />Chapel Hill Township of Graham R. Creel identified as Tax Map 46 Block B Parcel 6 <br />reduced from $4D,200. to $32,400. in keeping with the--resolution of the Couch <br />appeal. <br />The Board confirmed the 1975 valuations appealed by P.E.I. Foods, Inc. <br />(Chapel Hi11 Township, Tax Map 86 Block B Parcel 6,10). <br />Resolution of the appeals by U.S.I. F.. Wynnewood Corp., Fred M. Daniel, <br />W. A. McKnight, and W. D.
