Page3of3
The following is a description of how the buffers affect the property:
1. Feature A, a previously mapped stream segment, is present in the field and therefore
subject to buffer regulations. The beginning point has been flagged in the field for
reference.
2. Feature B, a previously mapped stream segment, is present in the field and therefore
subject to buffer regulations. The beginning point has been flagged in the field for
reference.
'' 3. Feature C, a previously mapped stream segment, is present in the field and therefore
subject to buffer regulations. This feature does not originate on the parcels in
question but instead passes through, so the beginning point has not been flagged.
4. Feature D, a previously unmapped wet, marshy area, is present in the field and
therefore subject to buffer regulations. The beginning point has been flagged in the
~ field for refierence.
~ ~ 5. Feature E, a previously mapped stream segment, is present in the field and therefore
subject to buffer regulations. This feature does not originate on the parcels in
question but instead passes through, so the beginning point has not been flagged.
r
6. Feature F, a previously unmapped water feature, designates the beginning of several
isolated pools draining towards Feature A. These pools do not meet the necessary
criteria to be deemed subject to stream buffer regulations, however they could
possibly meet wetland criteria and should be looked at by the US Army Corp of
~ ~ Engineers. The contact information for the Raleigh Regional Office of the USACE is
Andy Williams at (919) 554-4884, Ext. 26.
If you have further questions about the application of the Zoning Ordinance to this property,
or how to calculate the buffer lengths, please contact Current Planning Staff at 919-245-
2575.
Sincerely,
G~ ~~
Wesley Poole
Erosion Control Officer I
Attachments: Aerial Photograph /Map
Relevant Text from Zoning Ordinance
cc: File
S:\\ErosionControlDivision\2009\CapeFear\011609.TMBL6.26..5&6.26..27.West54
