Z <br />Staff proposes to apply for up to $644,444 toward an agricultural conservation easement, and <br />up to $344,444 for enterprise funds far the proposed Value~Added Shared Use Food Processing <br />Center at the grange enterprises building on Valley Forge Road andlar the Farm enterprise <br />Incubator at the wC Breeze Family Farm Agricultural Extension & Research Center. The grant <br />awards would be announced in June X448. <br />1=1NANCIAL IMPACT: The grants, if awarded, wauld require a match of 34°/a from the granting <br />agency. For the conservation easement, this would be $240,444. The Lands Legacy Program <br />currently has approximately $564,444 in remaining funds for conservation easements. The <br />proposed conservation easement would also be submitted far USQA matching funds, making <br />the County's portion of the total cast potentially as low as 15°/0. <br />Matching funds for the Value-Added Shared Use Foad Processing Center and 1 or the Farm <br />enterprise Incubator at the UVC Breeze Family Farm Agricultural Extension & Research Center <br />would come from other potential funding sources to be identified far that project. <br />R~CDMMFNDATIUN~S~: The Manager recommends that the Board authorize staff to submit <br />the applications for grant funding by the December 14 deadline. <br />
