THE MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />- December 16, 19 ~c~ <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on <br />Monday, December 16, 1974, at 7:00 P.M., in the Commissioners Room of the <br />Courthouse in Hillsborough, N. C. <br />Members Present: Chairman Garrett, and Commissioners Gustaveson, <br />Whitted and Pinney. <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Walker. <br />S. M. Gattis, County Administrator, Bill Laws, Assistant Tax Supervisor, <br />Archie Kelly, Tax Appraiser, and Wesley Bradford, Tax Appraiser, were also <br />present. <br />The following property owners appeared to appeal the appraised value of <br />the indicated property. <br />Simon F. Eflandt Jr., Business <br />Lindsay Efland) Machinery. <br />The Board heard the appeal of Jeremy Cyril Romanovsky of appraised <br />valuations of his six Village Green Cbndominiun Units, Chapel Hill Township, <br />Tax Map 77A, Block A, Lots 6, 10, 22, 23, 20; Tax map 77A,._31ock E, Lot 11; <br />although Mr. Romanovsky was not able to appear; and the appeal of D, St. <br />Pierre and Valinda Hill DuBVSe from the Tax Supervisor's decision denying appli- <br />cations for present use value assessment of Two parcels Chapel Hill Township, <br />Map 52, Lot 6; Eno Township, Map 19, Lot 9. <br />The board by appropriate Order reduced the 1974 assessment of Simon F. <br />Terrell's house and lot from 553,500 to $51.,400; reduced the valuation of <br />Kenneth 3. Garrison, Jr. Lot from $5,400 to 53,400 by reducing the valuation <br />of lots per front foot on Joyce Road and Gwen Road in Hillsborough Township, <br />Map 6A, from 527.00 to 517.00; affirmed the present valuation of the property <br />of Jeremy C. Romanovsky. <br />There being no further business to come befor the 9oard, the meeting was <br />adjourned to met again on Monday, December 23rd, 1974 at 8:00 P.M. to <br />continue consideration of these assessments. <br />Flora Garrett, Chairman <br />S.
