Hornaday, Second Rvad Councilman of the State Board of Transportation <br />stated that his Department had encountered problems in securing the needed right <br />of ways for the roads that had been listed on the 1973-1974 priority listing and <br />that the Board of Transportation had no choice but to move on down the priority <br />rating sheet. The following proposed Secondary Road Improvement Program was filed <br />with the Board. <br />John Watkins advised the Board that the Board of Transportation intended and <br />had programed the road straight down the list from last year. 5. H. Mr. Rasberry then requested that the <br />road be given better maintenance. Mr. Jones was requested to see that this was <br />accomplished. <br />Willie Street asked about a road off of the Purefoy Road. Mr. Jones stated <br />that this road appeared tv be a subdivision road and that the requirements for <br />paving would be the same as those previously explained to Mr. Rasberry. <br />- Estelle Tilley said she was present to thank the Board of Transportation for <br />~ the paving of SR #1554 as she felt Someone should let the Board of Transportation <br />know how much the residents did appreciate the good job that was dons on that <br />road. <br />` W. FL. May of Kerley Road stated that he felt the Board of Transportation was <br />somewhat behind on the road program as there had not been any contact from the <br />Board of Transportation with the residents of Kerley Road. Mr. May was advised <br />that the Agents of the Board of Transportation would be contacting people along <br />the road in order to secure the needed right of way for said road. <br />
