($80,000) Two rental units have been acquired, rehabilitated, and leased to clients <br />of Orange Person Chafham Menfal Health Agency. <br />^ Support continued operation of the InterFaith Council Employment Project, a job <br />training and substance abuse counseling program for shelter residents ($15,000) <br />Eight (8) individuals participated in 1996-97. <br />^ Assist Habitat for Humanity with site improvements at six (6) building lots throughout <br />the County ($123,000) Assistance has been provided for approximately two (4) lots <br />to date. <br />^ Capitalization of a Community Neighborhood Revitalization Fund to support the <br />purchase/rehabilitation or new construction in older, established communities. <br />($540,000) Nine houses have been purchased, rehabilitated, and sold to moderate <br />income first-fime homebuyers in the Northside, Carr Court, and Lloyd Street <br />communities. Also, a five (5) unit apartment building in the Pine Knolls neighborhood <br />and a building in the Northside community that will be used for a small business <br />incubator was acquired with Community Development grants. <br />4 <br />
