M. Public Housing <br />TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL <br />COMPREHENSIVE GRANT PROGRAM <br />July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000 <br />Official Notification has not been received from HUD of the amount of the 1999-2000 <br />grant. The following proposed plan is based on the 1998-99 amount of $399,000. <br />Continuation of Renovation at Craig/Gomains <br />Proposed renovation work includes: the abatement of lead-based paint and asbestos; <br />replacement of windows and screens; replacement of interior and exterior doors; <br />replacement of furnaces; replacement of floor tiles; replacement of bathtub liners; and .. <br />surrounds; bathroom fixtures; plumbing and electrical upgrades, and interior and <br />exterior painting. <br />$290,000 <br />Associated Other Costs <br />Includes the costs of general administration of the Comprehensive Grant Program, the <br />cost of personnel to do day-to-day monitoring of the renovation work as required by <br />HUD, maintenance training, relocation costs; and architect and engineering fees. <br />$57,000 <br />Resident Council Activities <br />Funds would be used to support the staffing of the Resident Council by allocating funds <br />for afull-time Community Organizer/Director, apart-time Program Coordinator, apart-time <br />Center Director, and two (2) Van Drivers.
